Description 1. Review an organization’s most recent annual report, budget, IRS 990 form, etc. as a starting point to explore their financial picture. Using the content from the readings/session handouts, identify and critique the plan for financial resource development within your organization. If your internship is at a public agency (state, federal, etc.), how do you understand the funding process and what challenges your organization has faced? 2. What role do you have, or plan to have, in implementing a component(s) of their financial resource development plan? What experiences have you had that contribute to this role? If your organization is funded publicly, what resource needs do they have and how do you understand the process for addressing such needs? 3. Long-term sustainability is a vital component of a financial resource development plan. How does your organization view long-term sustainability and how is it incorporated into their plan? What sustainability questions have they missed and should address? Note: For question 2 it’s okay if you have no experience with financial development you can speak from a perspective of what you wish or plan to do.
