Description please respond to edward with 150 words Good evening , I recommend the action of scheduling an informal conference after the citations and penalties have been issued. Although there is both pros and cons to informal conference, I feel the pros greatly outweigh the cons. The con of holding an informal conference centers around the fact that OSHA is not required to provide all the files, data, or information regarding the inspection which practically negates one of the main reasons why I chose to participate in an informal conference…..to gain complete knowledge and understanding on the citations and penalties to help our team fix the mistakes and prevent them from happening again. With the limited amount of data OSHA is required to provide, it basically renders the informal conference a complete waste of time. Also, keep in mind that I only have 15 days to submit a Notice of Contest regardless if we hold an informal conference or not. The con and most important reason of holding an informal conference is to provide additional information to the inspector or director that wasn’t available during the inspection with the goal of downgrading, reducing, and/or eliminating some or all of the citations and penalties. Even if the citations or penalties aren’t adjusted in my favor, at least I will have a better understanding of the the citations which will help our rectify our problem area
