Description Read the posts of your fellow learners and post scholarly responses to two reflections on the integration of ethical leadership principles in organizational practice. Include text concepts, relevant research, and professional or practical experiences to support your responses. Student post down below: The principles of ethical leadership are unique but I found them to be critical and imperative into the everyday lives of people. The principles consist of ethical leaders; respecting others, serving others, being just, honest, and building a community (Northouse, 2019, p.346). Each of these principles are essential to what a leader should be because if one wants to have followers or others conduct themselves accordingly; the leader must act within a certain manner as well. When I think about a specific leader within my own experience, I look at my First Lady. She is more than a first lady and is a mentor to me. She handles herself in such a professional but fun manner that cannot be forgotten. No matter what happens in her life, she ensures she is respectful of others and always emphasizes the importance of being honest and just towards others. Many of my skills and characteristics have drastically changed for the better because of the knowledge she constantly instills in me. After reading about Burns and Heifetz, I found myself intrigued and more engaged with the characteristics and qualities of Burns. He felt it was important for leaders to be engaged with their followers so they understand how to handle conflict but also work with all people within an organization. It is important that leaders never forget they were once a follower; thus engaging with all people aids in better understanding of what a company and what the people need.
